We seek Local Training and Technical Assistance (T/TA) Specialists who
will work from home. Multiple locations available. This position does
involve approximately 30% travel. This position is based within our
Human Services and Systems practice.
The State Specialist will provide assistance by assessing the needs of
the regional area to identify T/TA resources from State and local
communities. The Specialist will work closely with the Regional Office
to conduct initiatives for management and will be responsible for
developing local, State or regional partnerships. The Specialist will
work directly with grantees to assist in the development of annual T/TA
plans for the Regional Office, develop profiles of training practices,
analyze T/TA expenditures for effectiveness and determine gaps in
professional development training. Additionally, the Specialist will
provide accountability and progress reports, conduct training
assessments, and develop goals and quality improvement plans to ensure
that high quality services are being provided.
BA/BS Degree in Education or Social Sciences (Masters preferred) with 5
years of work experience providing T/TA and consultation to Head Start
or other social programs. The State Specialist must have knowledge and
awareness of children and family needs in a particulate locale;
experience in supervising staff, guiding the work of others and
directing committees and workgroups; experience applying Federal and
State standards in all areas of Program Design and Management, Family
and Community Partnership and Child Development and Heath Services; and
be able to apply current research literature, relevant laws, regulations
and policies. The successful candidate must be able to work
independently and collaboratively under critical time frames and be able
to work with complex and sensitive information.
